Hi all, This is unfortunate news since it does add confusion to the mix. I do see the problem with the communication deadlines in May however, and I sympathize with all those who have done their best to coordinate these efforts despite the deadlines.
As far as impact goes, I guess the only real negative impact is for Swiss particpants reading the central website and assuming they can upload pictures of Swiss monuments in September that will be part of the European contest. They are of course welcome to upload photos of Swiss monuments in September, but they obviously won't be judged since there's no national jury, and therefore don't really "participate". Technically I see no problem with having such photos (since there will be no publicity in Switzerland for the September timeframe this will presumeably be a small number of photos) tagged with the "Wiki Loves Monuments" upload form in September, since no one working in the contest will look at them anyway (unless someone from Wikimedia CH wants to). Besides the confusion, there is no substantial negative impact is there? Do we need to remove Switzerland from our central website or add some qualifier there about this?
