Users just need a camera which generates and saves the geocoordinates. How many cameras can do that ? How many users will have a camera like this ?
Sorry for breaking the enthusiasm, but don't you think you are designing a feature just for few users, instead of finding a global solution ? ;-) KISS without any specific technology : uploading a photo -> enter the city name -> have a map, with coordinate system (like this ? http://mapper.acme.com/) -> press ok when you are on location.
