I believe it would be useful to have that field in the database. It might not be used in a lot of cases, but as we see state institutions build online databases for their monuments in Germany, we generally add the links (or IDs which are then automagically converted into a link by the template) to our monument lists. This field can really be useful for the monument maps/browsers if there isn't a lot of information about the monument on Wikipedia, since the visitor can be referred to the official database.
