The dorms will be staffed by Wikimania volunteers. Just turn up and we'll check you in.
About a week before Wikimania we will email all dorm users with joining instructions. We'll also ask you when you want to arrive at the dorms. We will try to make sure a local volunteer is available for most of 6-8 August daytime and whenever people said they'd arrive. One of us will also carry a "panic phone", which can be contacted 24/7. If you need to pay by cash, please do so when you register at the venue (PolyU). Feel free to check in at the dorms first (esp. if you arrive on 6 August or during the night) and go to the venue to register and pay afterwards. There is some communal space but no cafeteria in the building. Breakfast is available at the venue 8-9am and during the morning coffee break every day (7-11 August). There will be shuttles from the dorms to the venue each morning. If you miss the shuttle, you can also take the train. Kowloon Tong station is 15min walk from the dorms; train from Kowloon Tong to Hung Hom is 6min; Hung Hom station is connected to PolyU by a bridge.
