So I had assumed this was about WikiConference USA, not Wikimania. Needless
to say, my comments certainly apply to the latter as well. This year the
inaugural WikiConference USA was held in NYC and there are hopes the event
will rotate to different regions of the country each year. It would be
great to host in the Pacific Northwest at some point in the future, but
again, we should do this when we have the capacity. Our time right now is
best spent getting established, putting systems in place, recruiting
interest and activities, perhaps forming collaborations with a few local
institutions, etc.
