Imo would be nice to know what to bid for before bidding at all... If it is that struggling to find out what is WMConf is about, I suggest dropping it at all (as per the evolution of Wikimania, it would be a reasonable decision) and create small, thematic workshops instead (see the PED workshop in Budapest in July)
