Yeah, we've seen from the branding fiasco just how much the imperial overlords deign to respect the opinions of the peasants.
The only tiniest shred of direct accountability on the board, the community board elections, have been scuttled for Very Convenient Reasons. The model is terribly broken and nobody should provide any support, financial or otherwise, to the WMF in its current incarnation.
