Hoi, Did you notice that all arguments that you produce are defensive, that all arguments are defensive for existing communities and that at no point an argument is made on how we can optimise the user experience, how we can share in the information that is available by all of us? How we can grow our public.
What good are past achievements when we can do better. All our projects are islands where communities decide what is best for "their" public. It is been shown time and again that we can share data from Wikidata to improve basic information like "what is in a category" or "who are the recipients of an award". All references with an DOI could and should be in Wikidata AND we could show what references used in articles are cited by other scientific papers ensuring that our communities at least are enabled to be aware of the latest science. This is basic stuff and this is not enabled by what should be a collaborative Wikimedia community. In essence, when a new project is likely to provide a service to our public. Who are these divided communities to oppose. Any argument that it divides our common good is bogus.
