Hi Beat I appreciate your idea to try to build a network of crowdsourcers and GLAM people in various countries, something that will take some time. In this case, where the connection to Switzerland isn't obvious, the relevant Wikipedia articles have already a good quality status in German and in French. For example, in de-WP we have many featured articles about the ICRC thanks to this anonymous scientist (http://de.wikipedia.org/wiki/Benutzer:UW ), maybe a user from Germany and active since 2005. He would probably find something to add about 1864 based on Danish sources but that's not worth an edit-a-thon. What comes to my mind is f.ex. an edit-a-thon about monuments or living traditions, another subject that WMCH is thinking to put a focus on in the future.
