You can go to the bank and they can print you a letter saying that "Steve's statement of account is in excess of X shillings" (X being the base amount remaining from Wikimedia Kenya's money.) So if you get this official letter from the bank confirming that Wikimedia Kenya's money is in your account, there would be no reason to ask for a bank statement. --Abbas.
