Hello Tim, O! Brave of you to speak up. I am curious to know more about your bafflements.
I write this quick response on the fly. On my end, I understand this as community microactivism. It is a project showing/signalling support for contemporary standards and practices of Equity Diversity Inclusion and Accessibility. It is a project recognising and honouring the role of narratives and povs in capitalism. Most likely there has been a an energetic and unrelenting demand within the institution and its community via individual activist for this change. Wikipedia is so important, the ai feeds directly from the articles. You will notice that any changes within Wikipedia are immediately reflected within ai responses. This project work is a response in recognition of the power of accessible archives and economic powers related to directing the narratives. Well that’s my take… It’s terrific news indeed!
