Dear all Hopefully you will have already seen that Wikimedia UK is calling for members of the volunteer community to *stand for election to the Board of Trustees* at this year's AGM, which is taking place online on Saturday 27th September.
You must be committed to the values of Wikimedia UK and of open knowledge more broadly, and have an interest in charity governance. No previous experience is necessary however, as training and a full induction will be provided. If you would like to stand as a candidate, please email [email protected] with: - Your full name and date of birth, plus any previous names - Your occupation, and any companies/charities where you have served as a Director in the past six years - A statement to the effect that you would like to nominate yourself to serve as an elected director and trustee of Wikimedia UK, confirming that you support and wish to advance the objects of the charity and that you meet the legal criteria for appointment - A candidate statement (up to 300 words) which will be shared with members alongside the ballot papers and published online Candidates must be members of Wikimedia UK (or have a membership application pending) by the closing deadline for nominations.
