I suspect it'll be approached from the other end: FCKeditor will be
improved until it can do quite a lot of the stuff, and there'll
eventually be sufficiently little remaining that it can be
bot-converted to a form FCKeditor can handle.

At which point we formalise that and away we go with third-party parsers galore!
