The results were PHP 7.0: 1.59 seconds HHVM 3.21: 1.75 seconds So PHP 7 was significantly faster on this test. Note that I ran HHVM with JIT enabled; total wall clock time including compilation and warmup was about 75 seconds, compared to 13 seconds for PHP 7. The test wiki has Scribunto with LuaStandalone.
