Hi all Open Education and E-Learning should cover a good variety of higher educational fields. Up to now it covers just the theoretical fields rather than more practical and technological. I assume introducing and conducting a reasearch based on a platform for teaching practical studio based Courses. Regarding the Research Project I am going to describe it a little bit here and with an example try to emphasize the needs and its important in Learning/Teaching process for Practical Studio Based Courses (PSBC). You know that Architecture is regarded as Form and Function. Regardless of this poor subtracts, which I believe rather than the form and function, Technology and Culture must be added in order architecture to be defined perfectly. Beside this attitude, misusing of computer by architecture students has caused an tremendous effect on the graduate quality. In this field, previously, the students in a studio had the opportunity of sharing their learning and experience with each other. Now a days, because of many changes of educational situation and facilities, the opportunity is non existent. This opportunity which is very important in this field and also in many other fields especially in fields with studio courses. Interactive Studio Courses (ISC) is a tool with a difference which will provide the opportunity in a well established tools and technology. It is a Portal Platform for universities which aims to help professors and students by providing a stimulating and extensive range of educational materials, ideas and assignments that can enrich learning and teaching across the Practical Studio Based Courses (PSBC). For professors, it offers the opportunity to enhance the planning curriculum of course details. For students, it provides a rich source of information and activities for individual study, class and group work as well as many ideas for PSBC. Wikiversity is a good base for this idea. Good luck Homer
