I did not understand the BIOS pwd protect requires an extra reboot. I do know one can reset the BIOS with the jumper/removal of the battery. Do not understand how rebooting negates the psw in the BIOS if set since that pwd has to be entered before the boot up process begins no matter what device is used to boot the system. (BTW Wayne, I know you addressed that in your post.)
