Since I am less than three points away from activation, (the "worth" of a NIC), I could likely reproduce that "problem" at will... Maybe some day when I have lots of HD space, and time to play with Images... (I try to break ONLY Imaged drives...)


On my notebook I'm constantly enabling/disabling the built-in NIC and the the built-in wireless NIC depending on which one is in use. I've had this notebook for a year and haven't had any reactivation issues. I don't uninstall it, just right-click and disable or enable. I don't believe that enabling/disabling NICs should cause reactivation, uninstalling/reinstalling may be another issue.
