Nero 5 bundled was fine for my purposes and I would expect that
Nero6 bundled would be too, but there is no reason that I should
not be able to use both my drives even if it means having both
bundled versions installed and having to switch versions to
match the drive. Nero 5 bundled lacked some of the features of
the retail version such as SVCD creation but did what I needed.
Do you install the retail version of Windows on the computers
you build? Is the OEM version that you install any less
functional on that machine than the retail version? Why is is so
much less expensive than the retail version? How many customers
go out and buy the full retail version of Windows after buying
your machine with the OEM install?
I am one of the older ones and most of the component audio is
gone because only 1 in 1000 can really hear any difference in
the sound since the cheap stuff is so much improved over what
was available when tubes were king.
Everyone doesn't need all the bells and whistles and the
software developers must be making some money or nothing would
be bundled with the hardware. In many cases the bundled software
and some of the retail software is just the repackaged
reference drivers and demo software provided by the hardware
developers.
