I see your dilemma, now. You're using a single account on the POP server to
dump all the mail from a number of e-mail addresses, while I have setup
separate accounts on the POP servers for each e-mail address and have each
download separately.
It depends on how you like doing things like that and how many email
addresses you've got, I guess. I just set up a new 'forwarding' address
[EMAIL PROTECTED] and to my view, it would be WAY more bother than
it is worth to set up a whole new POP box for a mail alias that'll get
maybe a message a month. Ditto for things like
"[EMAIL PROTECTED]" and "[EMAIL PROTECTED]" [neither of which
has ever gotten an email message, probably never will, but are required
email addresses].
If some of your email addresses get little or no email, there is no harm in
having those forward to a single POP box. I have separate POP accounts
only for my twelve most active email addresses. That takes care of about
99% of my incoming messages.
