>From what I can tell from this [interesting!] thread, there's only one drawback: If you were using OE [or perhaps other email clients], *AND* you carefully segregated your email so that you had pretty close to a 1<=>1`mapping between POP boxes and "intended identities"... *THEN* you would be spared the bother of having to select an appropriate identity when you 'reply' to a message.
