Office 2003 pro has a information rights management feature that, I think, will do what you want You didn't say what verison you have
Jimmy A. Hughes [EMAIL PROTECTED] http://home.earthlink.net/~homeinspector/ I am trying to save a document where I have the ability to let someone open it but not change it. Word has an option where one can have someone use a password to open the document, but if they use this password they can still change the document, they also have it so you can set up a password so that someone can change the document, plus one can save the document as read only. Here is my problem since I don't want to save the document as read only as then even I can't make changes to it and store it back with the same name I am left with the other two options which don't give me what I want since what I want is a method where I will let some people open the document and others open and change the document. Ideas? Thanks, Jerry. -- ---------------------------------------- The WIN-HOME list is hosted on a Windows 2000(TM) machine running L-Soft international's LISTSERV(R) software.
