The solution to BIOS passwords I was thinking about will only work if access to a CD or floppy drive is available, a straight reboot won't work if a system password has been set. Sorry if I mislead.
I still don't think a BIOS password would keep anyone out for long, suppose it depends on one's opinion of what constitutes 'long'? That said, it's a while since I tried to clear a new BIOS, maybe things are different now?
