And for my bit of input...... Similar situation with QED (don't hear much of them nowadays) Great product but....! Not quite the fastest car on the drag strip but pretty reliable to a point - BIOS upgrades-- always two steps behind the rest and then not quite all you really wanted from a BIOS update.
I had a computer buddy that ran a shop in this town for a while & that was the only board he would use. It seemed like he went crazy (literally) the same time QED did. IIRC QED had a hard time with bad caps, more than the rest seemed to.
Daffodil was another. At the moment I use Gigabyte (but then they aren't all they were) and MSI (seem Ok and very reliable with AMD).
Hmm, I've never had any problems with Gigabyte & AMD even when they use SIS or VIA but I do like all the nVidia chipsets a little better.
