In DOS you are already at the console. No separate text editor is
needed. The command "Copy Con". Means just that, copy anything
typed in, at the console. The file name following the command is
simply the name under which you want whatever you typed to be stored.
PL] Thanks for clarifying that. I used to think that after copy conn dos would go into some kind of special editing mode. Its a long time since I have used this though since I create my batch files in notepad.
