Has it happened just once, or is it happening repeatedly? And are you using an e-mail scanning anti-virus? Some of those are incompatible with the Secure Socket protocol that Eudora uses. If you're getting the message repeatedly and are using a scanner, you probably need to set your personality properties (both Generic Properties and Incoming Mail) so that Secure Sockets while Sending is set to NEVER, rather than when available.

I don't understand this stuff, but I googled it extensively when it happened to me. It is apparently not a security issue (that is, it won't hurt if you turn off "when available") but a protocol one.

That's absolutely all I know, but there's plenty available on the net who understand it.

I am using Eudora 6.2, and I am recently getting a pop-up that says an encrypted email has been found, and to check help for details. I never encrypted an email, so what does this mean? How do I find it an delete it?
