I would wonder whether these could, or will be, used for secure(?) systems entry. It might be coupled with some sort of biometrics. Would this not be on topic? There has been some similarities in the government authenticating remote modems using a random generating credit card device which could be coupled with the ID card information for an individual user. I don't think I would like that either.
