Unless you have SP1, you can't even use Windows Update anymore.

I would get SP2, but unless you are on Broadband, I'd get the CD from MS

You want to.  If you aren't already having connectivity problems, it
shouldn't cause you any grief.  It is worth the time and stress just to have
the pop-up blocker and improved firewall protection.

You can get it from Windows Update (I think it is still there).
