I remember changing the OS on a HP I once had and never, ever 
did the system operate correctly.  I even changed a lot of the 
hardware, but it never did completely recover and operate 
correctly.  It was a loaded machine that cost an arm and a let, too.
I think I still have that sucker out in one of my garages.

Apparently some machines are built to run on a certain OS and 
when that changes, everything changes.

I really liked Win2K, but this machine I have now came with 
WinXP, so I never attempted to go back to W2K because of what 
happened with my HP.  I think it came with that abortion ME.
