Like the drivers that you had to install with the External parallel
Iomega ZIP100 drive under Windows 9x back in 1995. I used to have
one and brought it when it was first released to the public.
Of course by todays standards it was slow as molasses and the plastic case
felt a like a pair of cheap sunglasses. You are better much better off with a
USB 2.0 cable
for a USB floppy drive. It would be best to get one. ;)

Since it would be "sort of" unusual to plug a floppy
into a printer port, I'm assuming some sort of driver would be
needed AND that it be one written for the OS in use...
It might be easier to dig up a USB floppy... (It would read
faster too...)

As long as your desktop PC has a standard 25 pin DB female parallel I/O port it
should work.
