Once in a while a friend will speak of the evils of the US, and I gladly
inform them, one thing I like about the US, you can leave anytime you want.

Funny, I have yet to see anyone move to some place they thought better,
guess they haven't found a better place.

Happy 4th

Thanks.

The Declaration of Independence was the 13 colonies declaring their
independence from England. At that time in our history we had many
religious & ethnic groups in this soon to become country. Why any of them
think that we have to embrace them & their way of life is ludicrous. We
don't embrace the local Amish's lifestyle but we don't shun them either.
They're different than many of us & so what as long as they don't bother us
& vice a versa but hey, they're our neighbors & we treat them with the same
amount of respect that I hope they would treat us with. To me that's what
freedom is all about.

Many people hate Americans because of our free wheeling lifestyle when in
actuality they know nothing about our lifestyle. Most Americans don't live
their lives as they're portrayed in the movies. Heck even most Californians
don't live the lifestyle shown in the movies. In this country if one wants
to experiment with other lifestyles then go for it as long as you don't hurt
anyone else. What other countries can one do this in ? Some think that
lifestyles are all about money and in some cases that may be true but for
the most part it is not as most farmers would still be farmers just as most
nurses would still be nurses & most computer geeks would still be computer
geeks. Sure there a few doors that may close in your face as you try to work
your way up the ladder of life but there are far fewer doors closed in the
US of A then there are in other countries & if you don't agree with me then
feel free to leave any time. OBTW don't let the door hit you in the caboose
on the way out.
