Note that this won't work if you're on a private LAN that has a firewall out to
the internet [the LAN part seems likely, given the MAC question, and most
private nets need to 'nat' out to the internet proper these days].
For example, my IP address is:
Ethernet adapter Local Area Connection:

But when I got to that site, it tells me:
