Phil,
I finally gave up on Norton with the 2004 version of SystemWorks/Personal
Firewall that I could not even get to install on my system. E-mail to tech
support was useless. I finally solved the problem by downloading Avast! free
anti-virus and Sygate free firewall. Both installed without issue and worked
perfectly. I continue to use SystemWorks 2003 for the utilities (but would
change if something else came along). I did not see a difference in the 2003
and 2004 versions of the utilites.
Anyway, there are other free anti-virus and firewalls available. Avast!
updates the signature files often and automatically, sometimes several times
in one day. HTH.
