So what do ya'll think about the drive &/or the warranty statement ?
If I read it correctly WD still hangs onto the 3 year warranty. I changed
over to Seagate and get a 5 year warranty.
Tip: When you receive a hard drive(s) go online and check the expiration
date on the warranty. Write that date on the hard drive. (WD has never
considered writing on a hard drive as "damage" in case some of you are
worried about voiding the warranty with writing.) Then when you pull a
defective hard drive, you do not have to wait until you go online to
ascertain the warranty expiration date.
