I've a Seagate SCSI Cheetah 10K drive & wish I had their 15k drives. I also
have a pair of WD 74g 10K drives. Neither were louder or hotter than other
drives. One thing to remember is that if the data is accessed quicker than
the drive starts cooling sooner than conventional drives.
