Sometimes Windows can seem to take forever to boot if it is
looking for a network connection. Since you just changed from
microwave to satellite that might be part of the problem.
Good point. Make sure the former wireless connection is disabled
or deleted in Network Connections. Did the wireless provider
have you install any software? If so, that should be uninstalled,
because it may be searching for an adapter that is no longer there.
