Gila Monster is a protected species .. our radio call sign for the Gila Bend
Electronic Warfare Training Range was Gila Monster and one of my airmen caught
one on the range .. he also used to hold it upside down, stroke its belly and
feed it grasshoppers ..anyway, we tried to keep it, but when I got the proper
form, Application for a Zoo License, from the Arizona Dept of Fish and Game, I
decided to let the poor creature go since I did not think that the Colonel
wanted to run a zoo.
