Will gladly investigate this further. Are you talking about filling from
multiple servers or a single server? While I can see the usefulness of
multiple NNTP servers in the app I can't see all that much use for a server
filling in where another server left off for the same newsgroup in that it
requires that Agent get all the headers for that group from the other
server just to find a few to fill with. If we're talking about a group with
3 million headers & 3 servers then we could easily be talking 9 million
headers & triple the amount of time it takes to get the original 3 million
headers. I could download a whole bunch of stuff in that amount of time. I
suppose if I had my 4mb cable connection I wouldn't care as much but being
that I'm on DSL I'm not about to waste the time for a few fills that more
than likely will appear the next time I refresh the group from my main
server. FWIW that is JMHO

Hmmm, an opinion which you're entitled to, my friend but I do not concur.
Right clicking on any folder & selecting "Folder Properties/News Access
Plan" yields if the default plan is used or not & if not what the deviation
from the default is & allows one to change. The problem with any app that
offers more & more options is that it has a tendency to get more complex.
That is the nature of the beast I'm afraid.
Jeffery tells me there are upgrades and a new algorithm for the search
function to get the incomplete file content but as I haven't used the beta
version yet I cannot comment whether these are fixed yet .
Sorry I am not allowed to comment on the above as I'm working on the Agent
3.1 beta as we speak.
