I wouldn't have an AV that needs manual intervention for updates.
That sort of thing should be done transparently in the background.

I have it set up to "not" check eMail......at least I thought so, but it
still pops up to check mail. The icon is black & gray and it says my email
checker isn't fully functional. Still, it seems to check it.
