When I opened the message, I found that BobJohns had written:

Hi Bob,
It's not hooked up by USB.
Actually, a lot of times it says "document didn't print" before the
printer "woke up". That's probably the setting, but it usually does
print....."after" the message. Sometimes, though, and rarely, it
does as I stated in my original post.
