I think you are probably right. I will probably just swap out the drive
and see if it works, then put it into another computer.

I'd suggest that a new Motherboard is start point

Then, you have to consider the cost if you cannot get a replacement
motherboard that will run your CPU and memory

Plus the possibility of additional cost if you get a motherboard, and
find
out the CPU and/or memory no longer work

New PC time?
Visit repair shop with test gear / or swap-it facilities
