This is about as cheap as you are likely to get your own domain/website/email.
Yahoo has domain registration for $2.99 PER YEAR. See: http://smallbusiness.yahoo.com/ (use THIS link; if you go into Yahoo from some other direction, the price may be different.) Once you get the domain registered and confirmation back that it is ready (takes a couple of days for the DNS to propagate), you can host it wherever you want, but the cheapest I have found, and so far they have been reliable and easy to work with is E-Rice. See: http://www.e-rice.net/ I have had another Yahoo-registered domain hosted with E-Rice for $10 per YEAR for several months but have used it only for email. Just registered another one at Yahoo (WHY? -- Because "it was there!") and will stick it over on E-Rice for >>$5 per YEAR<<. At these prices, it is handy to have them around just to play with. (Yeah, I KNOW I have a low entertainment threshold!) When I register a domain at Yahoo, I do it for 5 years per pop. Hard to beat $14.95 for 5 years...
