Wow! Software that really works - Er! when did that occur?

I use Quicken - since 1997 and when on-line banking came about over here
(UK) I moved to V.6 and then to 2000 to try it. My bank said we could
download our account statement and Quicken told us it would integrate and
match our own inputs (my wife does the "accounts" daily so in fact we are
in front of the bank by about 3 days).

Like hell it does! F*&%$ up the whole system with double entries for
everything and took us about a week to sort it out.

Now Quicken is OUR system for knowing where we are financially (where's the
gun!) and we use the Bank's own system for paying the bills _ Er! what's a
cheque (check)? Plastic rules Ok! It got so far for us I don't even carry
cash (whatever that is) and I will have to visit a money machine (ATM) to
get 50 GB pounds ($87) for when I visit a "Computer Fair" on Sunday.

Do you have "Computer Fairs" over in the US? It where lots of retailers
(re-sellers - only the US could invent such a word) get together in a
competitive "market hall" venue with almost everything for computers and
allied trades / things for sale.
