Thank you for pointing all this out & this is exactly why I advocate
that one use all the security features that are built into a wireless
router or access point. In our neighborhood if I could subscribed to
a local wireless ISP that is several miles away & if I can do that
then anyone that does use that wireless ISP could try to tap into my
wireless network without spending anything extra. Now if I lived
further out in the country where cable & dsl weren't available I
might be tempted to leave my wireless network less secure but knowing
what you've stated to be true I still wouldn't do it. I certainly
would NOT do it if I lived in a metropolitan area such as Boston or
Cambridge, MA. ;-)
