While I thank you for the website, the confusion between JimB and myself had
little or nothing to do with the differences between the different formats
of DVD recordable media. I was questioning his references to "recording in
-R mode" versus "recording in -RW mode." I believe he was refering to the
method of recording with -R mode meaning using the data copy mode (of Nero,
for example) that creates a data DVD or CD versus the use of packet writing
mode to create a floppy like DVD or CD. By the way, he was using the
terminology for both CD and DVD, which is another reason I don't believe he
was refering to the type of media in use.
