I am seriously considering going with Vonage and dumping my land phone line.
I've heard reports that Vonage does not work properly with
fax machines, or with DirecTV/Dish DVR systems. Then
there's the question of being able to call 911 when electrical
power is down. BTW, my DSL stays up during power outages,
which I don't think cable does.
