I tried that bit it won't work.  Unlike with normal windows, where if you 
select move or size the cursor immediately changes, for this window the 
cursor *stays* as it was, but it jumps to the upper left-hand corner. If 
I nudge the cursor a bit, THEN it changes ... but if I then click the 
left-mouse button it immediately switches back to the normal cursor so it
doesn't give me a chance to do any dragging...

I wonder where that info is stored -- the bogus-window-position persists
over restarts of the program, so it must be keeping that info someplace 
external to the program [and the desktop, etc]...
