In WinXP you edit your path by using the Control Panel "System" applet.
Start that applet, and click the "Advanced" tab, then click the
"Environment Variables" button on the bottom of the dialog. You can edit
the User Variables for the currently logged-on user, and if that user
has administrator privileges you can also edit the System Variables
(which are available to all users).
In DOS you just edit the autoexec.bat file and reboot, just as you did
in Win98SE. I don't know just how Win2K works, I would expect it to be
similar to WinXP.
