Yes - I created an iso and found that I could burn image to disk with Nero Express 6. ----- Original Message ----- From: "Wayne Johnson" <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> > Since booting a CDrom is so much slower than booting from a HD what > happens if you just wait a little while as opposed to pressing any keys ? 4 hours later - nothing happened. Probably either my CDRW is incorrect, or the BIOS settings aren't right. If I insert the CDRW when the machine is booted, the auto run starts it correctly. ----- Original Message ----- From: "Kylde" <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> > this is a pe-cd, yes? However, that bypasses the point of a boot CD (that I'm trying to learn about). ----- Original Message ----- From: "Kylde" <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> > oops, my bad :) Has cd-rom booting been turned on in the bios? I had CDROM -> C ->A. It shouldn't make any difference, but I'll try it later. Will also look at Bart's PE FAQ list, if I can find time. I was just thinking, I copied my upgrade XP Pro SP2 CD to C drive, and created the iso from there. My machine is still at SP1 level. Does anyone think I should use the i386 stuff from there instead? or bite the bullet and do the sp2 thing first?
