"Looking in startup" requires a special tool because there are many places that spyware and trojans can hide. Download and run this: http://www.sysinternals.com/Utilities/autoruns.html How to use Autoruns: 1. Boot into safe mode after downloading it. 2. When you start it the first time, press ESC key immediately. 3. Click Options and click to enable "Verify code signatures" and "Hide Signed Microsoft Entries". 4. Press F5 5. Un-check everything displayed. 6. Reboot into normal mode. If your problem has gone away, something you un-checked was responsible. You must now go back to Autoruns and carefully put back the things you un-checked which are needed. Don't re-enable anything that looks suspicious or unfamiliar. You need much MUCH more than just antivirus on a computer these days. Some kind of anti-spyware program is a must.
