NTFS and the relatively small file size rule out valid reports of problems
due to file size, and, I would have thought actual memory allocation
problems,
I'd say that it's probably due to the length of a filename you are trying to
generate .

and - having checked the original message, I do hope you are using xcopy,
not copy!

Also - why the use of the /z option
